| First Bike ride of the year! |

OK, OK I know I'm a wimp but it was finally above 60 degrees yesterday and I got out my great bike, my Trek 2200!! [image]trekguy_465713140.jpg[/image] I was able to get in a 20 mile road ride after work around a local lake which is pretty hilly route. It took just about an hour, but I did have one misfortune. I got a flat tire about half way around the lake at about 10 miles. Pissed me off! Luckly I carry a spare tube in a small pack under my saddle (note: it is NOT a seat, properly called a saddle). I fixed it and tried to reinflate the tire with my small hand pump. As I rode off I noticed it was not full enough. But one of my riding buddies lived not too far from where I was at. Pat gladly helped me out by pumping up my tire to its correct pressure and I finished my ride. It was wonderful to be back riding again after spin class all winter long! |

Have you ever spoken and wished that you could immediately take the words back...or that you could crawl into a hole? Here are the Testimonials of a few people who did.... FIRST TESTIMONY *************** I walked into a hair salon with my husband and three kids in tow and asked loudly, "How much do you charge for a shampoo and a blow job?" I turned around and walked back out and never went back. My husband didn't say a word... he knew better. SECOND TESTIMONY **************** I was at the golf store comparing different kinds of golf balls. I was unhappy with the women's type I had been using. After browsing for several minutes, I was approached by one of the good-looking gentlemen who works at the store. He asked if he could help me. Without thinking, I looked at him and said, "I think I like playing with men's balls." THIRD TESTIMONY *************** My sister and I were at the mall and passed by a store that sold a variety of candy and nuts. As we were looking at the display case, the boy behind the counter asked if we needed any help I replied, "No, I'm just looking at your nuts." My sister started to laugh hysterically. The boy grinned, and I turned beet-red and walked away. To this day, my Sister has never let me forget. FOURTH TESTIMONY **************** While in line at the bank, a toddler decided to release some pent-up energy and ran amok. I was finally able to grab hold of her after receiving looks of disgust and annoyance from other patrons. I told her that if she did not start behaving she would be punished. To my horror, she looked me in the eye and said in a voice just as threatening, "If you don't let me go right now, I will tell Grandma that I saw you kissing Daddy's pee-pee last night!" The silence was deafening. Even the tellers stopped what they were doing. I mustered up the last of my dignity and walked out of the bank with my daughter in tow. The last thing I heard when the door closed behind me, were screams of laughter. FIFTH TESTIMONY *************** Have you ever asked your child a question too many times? My three-year-old son had a lot of problems with potty training and I was on him constantly. One day we stopped at Taco Bell for a quick lunch. It was very busy, with a full dining room. While enjoying my taco, I smelled something funny, so of course I checked my seven-month-old daughter, and she was clean. Then I realized that Danny had not asked to go potty in a while, so I asked him if he needed to go, and he said "No". I kept thinking, "Oh Lord, that child has had an accident, and I don't have any clothes with me." Then I said, "Danny, are you SURE you didn't have an accident?" "No," he replied. I just KNEW that he must have had an accident, because the smell was getting worse. Soooooo, I asked one more time, "Danny, did you have an accident?" This time he jumped up, yanked down his pants, bent over and spread his cheeks and yelled, "SEE MOM, IT'S JUST FARTS!!" While 30 people nearly choked to death on their tacos laughing, he calmly pulled up his pants and sat down. An old couple made me feel better by thanking me for the best laugh they'd ever had! LAST TESTIMONY ************** This had most of the state of Michigan laughing for 2 days and a very embarrassed female news anchor who will, in the future, likely think before she speaks. What happens when you predict snow but don't get any....a true story. We had a female news anchor who, the day after it was supposed to have snowed and didn't, turned to the weatherman and asked: So Bob, where's that 8 inches you promised me last night?" Not only did he have to leave the set, but half the crew did too they were laughing so hard! Now, didn't that feel good? |

| Conservatives change of heart or mind? |
| 03.23.05 (9:18 am) |
|
Disclaimer: This posting in NOT an inditement of anyone's religion, nor is it meant to insult anyone! As we all know I’m a flaming /bleeding heart liberal and I heard something interesting in CNN's TV program Robin and Company (damn she is a cutie) this morning. Isn’t it interesting that the conservatives have changed their direction 180 degrees on the Terri Schiavo case? How you might ask? For one thing most Right Wing conservatives are strict constructionists when it comes to the constitution. Now they want us to believe there is a “right to life” provision in the Constitution, but low and behold, nowhere in the constitution do those words appear! Right Wing conservatives are for states rights, and for a weaker Federal Government. Yet what did they do in this case? The state courts of Florida ruled against them, and were upheld in courts of appeal. And ultimately the Supreme Court of the US refused to intervene, and apparently will not intervene either. Now the Federal courts were involved, at the behest of the right wing conservatives, the same ones screaming for State's rights! Again, it is scary to me to have the Right Wing conservatives and their bedrock conservative Christians forcing their view of morality, and beliefs on the rest of us because in their minds “God is on our side!” or some other religious justification. And where do the American people stand? According the latest Gallop poll 56% of Americans agree with the removal of the feeding tube, and only 31% disagree. *trekguy dons his flame-proof suit to protect against the potential backlash* |

Yes, I'm thinking about "restarting" my Tblog. IF I do I will not be posting as often as I once was posting. Things are getting better with my son, but I still have a lot to deal with every day. |

Your words of support made me smile when I read them all this morning. However, even after sleeping on this I think that my time here is at an end. As many of you know I have a very challanging life. I need to put a tremendous amount of effort, emotion and resolve into dealing with day to day challanges at home. There are a number of my consistant readers whom I've made virtual friends with and I appreciate you and all the support you have give me, you know who you are so no need to name names here. I will keep in touch with you, and you already have had further contact from me. I also have a very supportive and close group of friends locally. My fantastic girlfriend "J", she is truly the love of my life. I treasure her beyond all imagination and am completely devoted to her. My dearest friend also "J" who has just returned to work after nearly 6 months due to a complicated pregnancy. She is indead my substitute adult daughter, I love her, as one would their own child. With this day to day support and my burden at home I can no longer justify my jottings here. It has been fun, and I'm not running away from anything or anyone, or giving up on anything, I'm just taking care of what really needs to be taken care of at home, with the support I have day to day near me. |

I can no longer post here on tblog. I have been accused of something I had no part in, and would never ever do. My integrity means very much to me and since there appears to be no way to clear myself I'm leaving. But once again I had nothing to do with the incident I'm accused of. I made a promise and I know I've not violated that promise. |
